Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Manager of Supportive Care Services to lead and coordinate the hospice’s psychosocial, spiritual, and bereavement programs. This role ensures seamless integration with the interdisciplinary care model and collaborates closely with the Hospice Nurse Manager to drive clinical and operational excellence.

The position focuses on staff development, regulatory compliance, quality outcomes, and enhancing patient and family experience while addressing emotional and spiritual needs

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work.
• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Social Worker (LSW) or other applicable licensure.
• 3 years of clinical experience in social work.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, oversight, and coordination of social work, pastoral and bereavement services.
• Oversee integration of psychosocial and bereavement programs into the interdisciplinary hospice model of care.
• Partner with the Hospice Nurse Manager to provide coordinated operational and clinical leadership across the hospice program.
• Support staff performance, regulatory compliance, quality outcomes, patient and family experience, and day-to-day hospice operations.
• Serve as a key member of the hospice leadership team to address emotional, psychosocial, spiritual, practical, and bereavement needs with accountability and excellence.
