Job summary

Serenity Hospice PA in Wyoming Valley, PA is seeking a Weekend On-Call RN to provide compassionate hospice care on a Friday–Sunday schedule, totaling 32 hours per week. You will work with our interdisciplinary team to support patients and families, ensuring comfort and dignity.

Ideal candidate holds an active PA RN license with hospice or home health experience, strong communication, and reliable transportation. Join a dedicated team making a meaningful difference.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care to hospice patients on scheduled weekend hours.
• Respond to patient and family needs during on-call hours.
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and ongoing evaluations.
• Develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Provide symptom management and comfort-focused care.
• Educate patients and families regarding medications, disease progression, and hospice services.
• Collaborate with physicians, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Provide emotional support to patients and loved ones.
• Advocate for patient comfort, dignity, and quality of life.

Serenity Hospice PA is growing, and we’re looking for a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team serving patients and families in the Wyoming Valley area.

THE WEEKEND SCHEDULE YOU’VE BEEN LOOKING FOR

Friday: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Saturday: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Sunday: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM

Monday – Thursday: OFF

Total: 32 hours per week

YOUR ROLE

As a Weekend On-Call RN with Serenity Hospice PA, you’ll provide compassionate, patient-centered care while supporting patients and families during an incredibly important time in their lives.

You’ll work closely with physicians, caregivers, and our interdisciplinary team to ensure patients receive exceptional care focused on comfort, dignity, and quality of life.

• Active Pennsylvania RN license
• Hospice or home health experience preferred

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to respond to patient needs during scheduled on-call hours
