Job summary

Serenity Hospice Pennsylvania is seeking an On-Call Registered Nurse (RN) to provide after-hours hospice care across Monroe, Northampton, Lehigh, and Berks Counties. This 7 days on / 7 days off role offers a stable schedule and meaningful impact on patients and families.

You'll perform on-call visits, nursing assessments, symptom management, and coordinate care with physicians and the interdisciplinary hospice team, delivering patient-centered, compassionate care in home settings.

Qualifications

• Current Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum of one year of nursing experience.
• Hospice experience preferred, but not required.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current automobile insurance.

Responsibilities

• Responding to after-hours calls from patients, families, and caregivers.
• Conducting on-call visits to address urgent clinical needs and symptom management.
• Performing nursing assessments and implementing appropriate interventions.
• Coordinating care with physicians and the interdisciplinary hospice team.
• Educating patients and caregivers about medications, symptom management, and hospice care.
• Completing accurate and timely electronic clinical documentation.
• Providing compassionate, individualized care that respects each patient's goals and wishes.
