Job summary

Serenity Hospice Pennsylvania seeks a dedicated On-Call Registered Nurse (RN) to provide after-hours nursing support to hospice patients and families in the southeastern Pennsylvania service area. This role is structured around a 7 days on / 7 days off schedule and offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient care.

The RN will triage calls, respond to urgent clinical needs, conduct on-call visits, manage symptoms, and coordinate care with a supportive interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Current Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum of one year of nursing experience.
• Hospice experience preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Current automobile insurance.

Responsibilities

• Respond to after-hours calls from patients, families, and caregivers.
• Conduct on-call visits to address symptom management and urgent patient needs.
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and implement appropriate interventions.
• Coordinate patient care with physicians and the interdisciplinary hospice team.
• Provide education and support to patients and caregivers regarding hospice services, medications, and symptom management.
• Complete timely and accurate electronic clinical documentation.
• Participate in rotating on-call coverage according to the assigned schedule.
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care that reflects the goals and wishes of each patient and family.

Serenity Hospice Pennsylvania is seeking a dedicated and compassionate On-Call Registered Nurse (RN) to join our growing team serving patients and families throughout Southwestern Pennsylvania.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced RN seeking a rewarding career in hospice care with a predictable 7-days-on/7-days-off schedule. SCHEDULE

7 days on / 7 days off

Every other week off

During your scheduled week, you will provide after-hours clinical support, symptom management, and compassionate care to hospice patients and their families.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Hospice On-Call Registered Nurse provides after-hours nursing support to hospice patients and families throughout the southeastern Pennsylvania service area.
