Job summary

Tidewell Hospice, part of Empath Health, invites recent nursing graduates to join a 12-month Nurse Residency program in Bradenton, FL. The role features 40-hour weeks, 3x12 shifts at the Hospice House, and weekly clinical education to prepare for certification as a Hospice Nurse.

Exam fees are covered; sign-on bonus of $5,000 is offered, with opportunities for CEU support, tuition reimbursement, and advancement within Empath Health.

Qualifications

• Recent grads welcome to apply; residency requires <1 year RN experience.
• ASN or BSN degree from an accredited program required.
• Florida RN License or multi-state compact license required.
• CPR certification from the Red Cross or American Heart Association.
• Hospice or ALF experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license, insurance, and transportation.
• Medical clearance for communicable diseases and up-to-date immunizations.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a 12-month Nurse Residency program with weekly classroom education.
• Rotate through Hospice House and other service lines as assigned.
• Work 40 hours per week on 3x12 hour shifts with 4 hours of clinical education weekly.
• No medical/surgical experience required.
