Job summary

Bristol Hospice Charleston LLC is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join the team in North Charleston, SC. This PRN hourly role focuses on comprehensive patient and family assessments and delivering high-quality hospice care.

The RN will perform physical assessments, utilize the nursing process, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and adjust care plans. Travel within the Bristol Hospice service area may be required as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have at least one year of acute care experience in an institutional setting.
• One year of experience in home care preferred.
• Must have a current licensure in the state.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial, comprehensive patient and family assessments.
• Provide a complete physical assessment and history of current and past illness.
• Deliver professional nursing care using the nursing process.
• Develop and revise plans of care with input from patient and family.
• Communicate with the physician regarding patient needs and orders.
• Educate patient and family on self-care techniques.
