Job summary

Beaumont Hospice in Detroit is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Preceptor to lead onboarding and ongoing training for hospice staff, ensuring quality and compassionate care for patients.

The role focuses on clinical training, CMS compliance, patient care in the field, collaboration with nursing leadership, and development of training materials. A valid RN license and home health/hospice experience are required.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of employment.
• Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience, at least one (1) year must be in home health care or hospice.
• Previous clinical training experience preferred.
• Technical/computer skills and use of electronic medical documentation.
• HCHB experience is preferred.
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance in your name as a driver.
• Capable of all physical demands.

Responsibilities

• Training: Complete orientation and ongoing competency and annual training for all hospice employees.
• Provide field patient care in the home setting with patients and staff as needed.
• Ensure quality and safe delivery of hospice services.
• Collaborate with Director of Nursing and leadership on new initiatives.
• Develop learning tools and care documents for annual competencies.
• Review clinical documentation per CMS guidelines.
