Job summary

Ohio’s Hospice is seeking a compassionate Hospice RN for a PRN night shift (7pm–7:30am) at the Dayton IPU, with potential float to Troy and Middletown IPUs as needed. The role emphasizes assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation to support patients and families at end-of-life.

Candidates should be a graduate of an accredited nursing program with an active Ohio RN license, preferably BSN, and two years of acute care experience.

Qualifications

• RN graduate from an accredited nursing school; ASN; BSN preferred.
• Active Ohio RN license without board actions.
• Two years acute care nursing experience preferred.
• CPR certification required; CHPN preferred or required within two years of employment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, interventions, evaluation).
• Interact effectively with patients, families, and the inter-disciplinary team while maintaining nursing standards.
• Provide compassionate hospice care during end-of-life journey.

Hospice RN – Making every moment matter

• This is a PRN night shift position, 7pm-7:30am at our Hospice of Dayton IPU but will float to our Troy and Middletown IPU as needed.
• We provide superior care and superior service to patients at their end-of-life journey. Only those who have a heart for hospice will succeed.

As a Hospice RN you will plan and deliver care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, interventions, implementation, and evaluation; and effectively interact with patients, families and other interdisciplinary team members while maintaining standards of professional nursing. We provide superior care and superior services to patients at their end-of-life journey. Only those who have a heart for hospice will succeed.

Hospice RN Qualifications:

RN's - Graduate of an accredited nursing school; Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Active Registered Nurse license in the State of Ohio without any board actions. Two years of acute care nursing experience preferred.

• CPR Certified
• Certification in Hospice & Palliative Medicine (CHPN) preferred; required within two years of employment. (Eligible upon completion of 500 hours in last 12 months of hospice/palliative experience.)
• Computer skills are sufficient to properly document services and care.
• Ability to drive during daytime, nighttime or inclement weather.
• Valid Driver's License with Safe Driving Record
• State Minimum Automobile Insurance Coverage
