Job summary

Ohio’s Hospice is seeking a Hospice PCS for PRN night shifts in Dayton, OH. You will join an interdisciplinary team to provide compassionate direct patient care, delivering comfort and support to patients and families during critical moments.

Required qualifications include a high school diploma or GED; CNA preferred with internal training; CHPNA certification optional; strong EMR documentation skills; valid Ohio driver's license and ability to pass background and drug checks.

Qualifications

• Certified Nurse Aide preferred; internal training available.
• CHPNA certification preferred; growth opportunities offered.
• Proficient in documenting patient care in electronic medical records.
• Valid Ohio driver's license with clean record; ability to pass background and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care with compassion as part of an interdisciplinary team.

• Be available to cover Dayton Hospice House IPU and Troy/Middletown IPUs as needed.

Hospice PCS – Making every moment matter

As a Hospice PCS, you will play a vital role in enhancing quality of life for patients and supporting families during some of their most important moments. Working alongside a dedicated interdisciplinary team, you'll deliver compassionate care that brings comfort, dignity, and peace.

This is a PRN night shift position, 7pm-7:30am. This position is located at our Dayton Hospice House IPU and will also cover our Troy/Middletown Hospice House IPU's when needed as well.

Qualifications of this role:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Certified Nurse Aide (preferred, but will train internally)
• Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse Aide (CHPNA) certification preferred. Ohio's Hospice supports professional growth and offers opportunities for eligible employees to obtain certification.
• Proficient computer skills with the ability to accurately document patient care and services in electronic medical records.
• Valid Ohio driver's license with a safe driving record and proof of auto insurance.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and 10 panel drug screening.
