Job summary

Ohio’s Hospice is seeking a Hospice RN IPU for PRN night shifts (7pm–7:30am) in Dayton, OH, with float to Troy and Middletown IPU as needed. You will plan and deliver nursing care using the nursing process, collaborate with families and the interdisciplinary team, and maintain professional standards.

Qualifications

• RN graduate of an accredited nursing program with an active Ohio license.
• ASN required; BSN preferred.
• Two years of acute care nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, interventions, implementation, and evaluation.
• Interact effectively with patients, families and the interdisciplinary team.
• Maintain professional standards of nursing and documentation.

Hospice RN – Making every moment matter

• This is a PRN night shift position, 7pm-7:30am at our Hospice of Dayton IPU but will float to our Troy and Middletown IPU as needed.
• We provide superior care and superior service to patients at their end‑of‑life journey. Only those who have a heart for hospice will succeed.

As a Hospice RN you will plan and deliver care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, interventions, implementation, and evaluation; and effectively interact with patients, families and other interdisciplinary team members while maintaining standards of professional nursing. We provide superior care and superior services to patients at their end‑of‑life journey. Only those who have a heart for hospice will succeed.

Hospice RN Qualifications:

RN's - Graduate of an accredited nursing school; Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Active Registered Nurse license in the State of Ohio without any board actions. Two years of acute care nursing experience preferred.

• CPR Certified
• Certification in Hospice & Palliative Medicine (CHPN) preferred; required within two years of employment. (Eligible upon completion of 500 hours in last 12 months of hospice/palliative experience.)
• Computer skills are sufficient to properly document services and care.
• Ability to drive during daytime, nighttime or inclement weather.
• Valid Driver's License with Safe Driving Record
• State Minimum Automobile Insurance Coverage
