Job summary

Ohio’s Hospice is seeking a Hospice Registered Nurse for IPU on a full-time night shift in Troy, OH. You will plan and deliver patient care using the nursing process and collaborate with patients, families, and an interdisciplinary team.

Shifts run 7:00 pm–7:30 am with every 3rd weekend and alternating holidays. You may float to Dayton and Middletown IPU as needed. Competitive salary, mileage reimbursement, and professional development opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• RN licensed in Ohio with no board actions.
• ASN or BSN; BSN preferred.
• 2 years acute care nursing experience preferred.
• CPR certification required.
• CHPN preferred; required within two years.
• Computer skills to document care.
• Valid driver's license with safe driving record.
• State minimum automobile insurance coverage as applicable.

Responsibilities

Hospice RN IPU FT nights

Full Time Direct Patient Care Troy, OH, US

Hospice RN – Making every moment matter

• This is a full-time night shift position at our Troy Hospice House IPU but could float to our Dayton and Middletown IPU as needed.
• Shifts will be from 7:00pm-7:30am, with every 3rd weekend rotation and every other holiday rotation

As a Hospice RN you will plan and deliver care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, interventions, implementation, and evaluation; and effectively interact with patients, families and other interdisciplinary team members while maintaining standards of professional nursing. We provide superior care and superior services to patients at their end-of-life journey. Only those who have a heart for hospice will succeed.

Hospice RN Qualifications:

RN's - Graduate of an accredited nursing school; Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Active Registered Nurse license in the State of Ohio without any board actions. Two years of acute care nursing experience preferred.

• CPR Certified
• Certification in Hospice & Palliative Medicine (CHPN) preferred; required within two years of employment. (Eligible upon completion of 500 hours in last 12 months of hospice/palliative experience.)
• Computer skills are sufficient to properly document services and care.
• Ability to drive during daytime, nighttime or inclement weather.
• Valid Driver's License with Safe Driving Record
• State Minimum Automobile Insurance Coverage
