Job summary

BSA Hospice of the Southwest in Amarillo, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse to administer skilled nursing care for patients in their homes, coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team, patients and families, and coordinate with referring agencies. The RN will report to the Director of Nursing and participate in care planning and symptom management.

Travel locally to patient residences will be required; a valid Texas driver's license and reliable transportation are necessary.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Diploma, Associate or Baccalaureate School of Nursing.
• Current RN license or equivalent per Texas Board of Nurse Examiners; NLC rules where applicable.
• Current Texas Driver's License.
• Two years RN experience in a clinical care setting; hospice preferred.
• Good reading, writing and comprehension of English.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care in patients' homes, nursing homes, or other settings as assigned.
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team, patient/family, and referring agency.
• Reports to the Director of Nursing.
