Job summary

HopeHealth Hospice & Palliative Care seeks an experienced Inpatient Registered Nurse (RN) for the Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence, RI. This part-time, night-shift position covers 7pm–7:30am with every-other weekend requirements and qualifies for benefits.

The RN will provide professional nursing care, coordinate care plans, document accurately, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team. BSN preferred and 1–3 years' hospice or related experience recommended.

Qualifications

• RN required; BSN preferred.
• 1-3 years of related experience.
• Strong nursing assessment, clinical and communication skills.
• Hospice care and/or related experience preferred.
• Proficiency in medication dosage calculations.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes and admits patients and families to the Inpatient Unit in competent, professional care.
• Provides nursing care using the nursing process from admission to discharge.
• Develops and initiates care plans with patient/caregiver/physician.
• Re-evaluates patient/family needs and responds to changes.
• Documents accurately and maintains confidentiality.
• Coordinates care with physicians and interdisciplinary team.
• Precepts two to three shifts per week during the first months.
