Job summary

HopeHealth is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for its inpatient hospice unit in Providence, RI. This per diem role provides professional nursing care at the Hulitar Hospice Center under the direction of the Clinical Manager.

Requirements include RN licensure with BSN preferred, 1–3 years of related experience, and strong assessment and communication skills. Hospice experience is a plus; dosage calculations proficiency is required.

Qualifications

• RN license required; BSN preferred.
• 1-3 years of related experience.
• Strong nursing assessment, clinical skills and communication skills.
• Hospice care and/or related experience preferred.
• Proficiency in medication dosage calculations required.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes and admits patients and families to the Inpatient Unit in a competent, professional, compassionate, and responsive manner.
• Provides professional nursing care by utilizing all elements of the nursing process from initial assessment through discharge.
• Coordinates patient care and admission including a comprehensive nursing assessment and required documentation.
• Initiates and sustains nursing orders for medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
