Job summary

The Carpenter Health Network seeks a dedicated Full-Time Inpatient Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Gulfport, LA team. You will assess patients, implement the Hospice Plan of Care, and manage acute crises with palliation techniques while educating families about care plans.

Qualifications

• RN license to practice in Mississippi (or applicable state).
• Minimum two years full-time nursing experience in oncology, acute care, long-term care, hospice, or home health.
• Current CPR certification mandatory.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
• Familiarity with EMR systems.
• Home health or hospice experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments.
• Assist in developing and implementing the Hospice Plan of Care.
• Provide acute crisis management and palliation measures.
• Educate patient and family on the Plan of Care and medication administration.
• Maintain accurate medical records and comply with policies.
• Adhere to compliance standards and reporting requirements.
