Job summary

VITAS Healthcare is seeking a Home Care Registered Nurse (RN) to provide compassionate, patient-centered hospice care to patients in their homes across Texas. You will perform autonomous bedside care decisions, build meaningful connections with patients and families, and support comfort-focused end-of-life care.

The role involves 4–6 daily visits, collaboration with social workers, physicians, chaplains, and nurses, and ongoing education for patients and families.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state where the VITAS program is located.
• At least two years of nursing experience, preferably in hospice, home health, or community health in the last five years.
• Equivalent experience or licensure may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate end-of-life care and comfort to hospice patients in home settings.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care and education.
• Maintain patient welfare, dignity, and timely visits to patients’ homes.
