Job summary

Miracle City Hospice is seeking an RN Admissions Nurse to join our compassionate team delivering end-of-life care. You will evaluate admission suitability, educate families, obtain consent, and develop initial plans of care focused on comfort and quality of life.

You should be an RN licensed in the state, CPR certified, with a hospice mindset and strong patient communication. Excellent benefits, PTO, and a supportive work environment are provided.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited registered nursing program.
• Licensed as a registered nurse in the state of practice.
• Must possess current CPR Certification.
• 1 year Hospice experience, preferred.
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
• Ability to deal tactfully with patients, family members, visitors, and staff.
• Knowledgeable of quality assessment and assurance procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-admission evaluations for service appropriateness.
• Initiates the admission process by educating patients and families.
• Obtains informed consent.
• Provides nursing assessment and initial plan of care to optimize comfort and quality of life.
