Job summary

Hospice of Virginia is seeking an RN Admissions Nurse to join our team serving Richmond and surrounding counties. You will help patients and families access hospice services with comfort and confidence, guiding them through the admission process and initial assessments.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited RN program.
• Current Virginia RN license and CPR certification.
• Hospice experience preferred (1+ year).
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-admission evaluations to determine eligibility for hospice services.
• Educate patients and families about hospice care and available services.
• Facilitate the admission process and obtain informed consent.
• Complete comprehensive nursing assessments.
• Develop initial plans of care focused on comfort, dignity, and quality of life.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure patient-centered care.

What You'll Do
