The Hospice Business Office Specialist II ensures accurate documentation, timely reimbursement and regulatory compliance while collaborating with internal teams to optimize revenue cycle operations.

Key duties include processing billing and collections, maintaining patient accounts, communicating with payors, and supporting reporting

Qualifications

• Two (2+) years of experience in healthcare billing, collections, revenue cycle, or administrative support.
• One (1+) year of experience working with patient accounts, insurance verification, or reimbursement processes
• One (1+) year of experience using Microsoft Office or similar systems for documentation and reporting
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Process billing, collections, and reimbursement activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with payor requirements
• Review and maintain patient account information, resolving discrepancies and supporting timely claim processing
• Communicate with internal teams, payors, and stakeholders to address account issues and support revenue cycle activities
• Maintain accurate documentation and records in accordance with company policies and regulatory standards
• Support business office processes through reporting, workflow management, and continuous improvement initiatives
