Job summary

BrightSpring Health Services' Adoration Health hospice team is seeking a Registered Nurse in Parkersburg, WV for PRN coverage. You will provide compassionate, patient-centered care to patients and families in home settings, assessing needs and creating tailored care plans.

As a Hospice RN, you will administer medications, manage symptoms, educate caregivers, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, while maintaining thorough documentation and participating in on-call rotations as required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school with current licensure to practice in state of operation.
• One year nursing experience required, 3+ years preferred.
• Experience in hospice or a similar setting preferred.
• Knowledge of the hospice philosophy of care.
• Commitment to clinical and documentation excellence.
• Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state/or organization requirements and is in good working order.
• Possess and maintain current CPR certification in states where required.

Responsibilities

• Assess/monitor physical, emotional, and psychological needs of patients
• Create hospice care plans that align with the patients wishes and goals
• Direct nursing care: administering medications, treatments, and interventions
• Provide pain and symptom management
• Educate and support the patient's family and caregivers
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation
• Participate in on-call rotation as required by local branch
