Job summary

Gentiva Hospice in Bluffton, SC seeks a Hospice Care Consultant to educate providers, grow referrals, and advocate for patients and families. You will build lasting relationships with hospitals, home health agencies, SNFs, and clinics, presenting hospice options aligned with patient needs.

This strategic sales role requires healthcare sales experience, a business mindset, and strong communication. Independence and teamwork with clinical and operations teams are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2 years in healthcare sales, business development, or referral marketing.
• Strong existing relationships with physicians, hospitals, SNFs or home health pros.
• Prior hospice, palliative care, or home health experience is a plus.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and time-management skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and CRM platforms.
• Sensitivity to needs of terminally ill patients and families.
• Proven track record of meeting admissions and census targets.

Responsibilities

• Educate, inform, and inspire confidence in our services to ensure correct referrals.
• Identify new referral opportunities by calling on hospitals, SNFs, HHAs, clinics, and physician offices.
• Engage in meaningful conversations with healthcare professionals about patient needs and hospice options.
• Plan and execute strategic marketing initiatives to increase referral growth.
• Represent Gentiva at community events, associations, and in-services to promote services.
• Serve as a resource and advocate for patients and families.
