What You Need To Know

The Quality Improvement Specialist is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and conducting in-depth reviews of key quality metrics fundamental to AccentCare’s ability to deliver high-quality, safe care to our patients and to achieve progress on the Hospice Quality Reporting Program*. This role ensures compliance with state, federal, and accreditation standards. It is part of the quality management team and involves providing expertise in quality and performance improvement, change management, and promoting adherence to standards, policies, and procedures. The specialist will teach, coach, and consult on measure development, goal setting, data analysis (including root cause and risk assessments), problem-solving, corrective actions, and evaluating the effectiveness of interventions. They will guide leaders through projects, facilitate, consult, coach, and report in a complex community healthcare environment, working closely with teams in Quality, Clinical Operations, and Compliance to support root cause analysis and safety event facilitation, while promoting diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging to reduce healthcare disparities.

  • Drive safe care delivery by assisting agencies in maintaining standardized clinical and documentation procedures, ensuring objective surveys, audits, and reviews; determine success metrics and monitoring cadence.
  • Teach, coach, and consult to promote adherence to legal, accreditation, and organizational standards.
  • Demonstrate strategies for agency adoption of healthcare accreditation and program requirements.
  • Apply project management fundamentals to identify problems, generate interventions, and monitor outcomes.

Qualifications

If you meet these qualifications, we want to meet you!

  • Healthcare license (e.g., nurse, physician, social worker)
  • Certification or advanced education in Healthcare Quality or relevant experience in performance improvement and regulatory standards
  • Minimum 5 years of healthcare experience
  • Minimum 2 years of Hospice or Home Health experience
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards for home health and/or Hospice
  • Strong understanding of quality/performance improvement tools and processes
  • Systems knowledge for root cause analysis and process development
  • Effective communication skills across organizational levels
  • Strong project and process management skills
  • Ability to create complex documents and perform advanced data analysis
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multitasking environment
  • Leadership skills for group discussions with clinicians, administrators, and stakeholders
Required Certifications and Licenses
  • Healthcare license (e.g., nurse, physician, social worker)
  • Certification or advanced education in Healthcare Quality or relevant experience
