Job summary

Ohio's Hospice, Inc. in Dayton, OH is seeking a Hospice PCS for full-time night shifts (7pm–7:30am) with weekend/holiday rotation. You will join an interdisciplinary team delivering compassionate care to patients and families at our Dayton and satellite IPUs.

Applicants should have a High School Diploma or GED; CNA preferred with internal training. CHPNA certification preferred; driving is required, with a valid Ohio license and clean driving record.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Certified Nurse Aide (preferred; internal training available).
• CHPNA certification preferred; Ohio's Hospice supports certification.
• Proficient in documenting patient care in electronic medical records (EMR).
• Valid Ohio driver’s license with a safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to hospice patients overnight on FT night shifts.
• Support families with comfort, dignity, and peace.
• Document patient care and services in EMR accurately.
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and compassionate care environment.

Hospice PCS – Making every moment matter

As a Hospice PCS, you will play a vital role in enhancing quality of life for patients and supporting families during some of their most important moments. Working alongside a dedicated interdisciplinary team, you'll deliver compassionate care that brings comfort, dignity, and peace.

This is a FT night shift position, 7pm-7:30am with every other weekend/holiday rotation. This position is located at our Dayton Hospice House IPU and will also cover our Troy/Middletown Hospice House IPU's when needed as well.

Qualifications of this role:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Certified Nurse Aide (preferred, but will train internally)
• Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse Aide (CHPNA) certification preferred. Ohio's Hospice supports professional growth and offers opportunities for eligible employees to obtain certification.
• Proficient computer skills with the ability to accurately document patient care and services in electronic medical records.
• Valid Ohio driver’s license with a safe driving record and proof of auto insurance.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and 10 panel drug screening.
