Job summary

Ohio’s Hospice, Inc. is seeking a Hospice Personal Care Specialist (PT nights) in Dayton, OH. You will join an interdisciplinary team to deliver compassionate care that enhances quality of life for patients and supports families.

The role involves night shifts (2-12 hour shifts/week, 7pm-7:30am) and may cover Troy/Middletown IPUs. Training available for CNAs and opportunities for certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Certified Nurse Aide is preferred, but internal training is offered.
• CHPNA certification preferred; Ohio's Hospice supports certification.
• Proficient computer skills to document patient care in electronic medical records.
• Valid Ohio driver’s license with safe driving record and proof of auto insurance.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and 10 panel drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate care to patients and support families during important moments.
• Accurately document patient care and services in electronic medical records.
• Work with an interdisciplinary team to provide comfort, dignity, and peace.

Hospice PCS – Making every moment matter

As a Hospice PCS, you will play a vital role in enhancing quality of life for patients and supporting families during some of their most important moments. Working alongside a dedicated interdisciplinary team, you'll deliver compassionate care that brings comfort, dignity, and peace.

This is a PT night shift position, 2-12 hour shifts per week, 7pm-7:30am with every other weekend/holiday rotation. This position is located at our Dayton Hospice House IPU and will also cover our Troy/Middletown Hospice House IPU's when needed as well.

Qualifications of this role:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Certified Nurse Aide (preferred, but will train internally)
• Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse Aide (CHPNA) certification preferred. Ohio's Hospice supports professional growth and offers opportunities for eligible employees to obtain certification.
