Job summary

Ascension in Elk Grove Village, IL seeks a physician to join a renowned palliative care service within a large health system. This employed position offers Monday–Friday consultation duties with strong office support and a multidisciplinary team including nurses, social workers, and chaplains.

Candidates should be MD/DO with IL licensure, ALS preferred, and be able to contribute to quality initiatives and teaching of residents.

Qualifications

• MD/DO credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation or equivalent per hire date requirement.
• Advanced Life Support preferred (AHA/ARC accepted).

Responsibilities

• Provide consultation services in a busy palliative care service, Monday–Friday.
• Collaborate with Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, Social Workers and Chaplains in a multidisciplinary team.
• Join an established team of physicians and NP's with strong referral base.
• Participate in quality committees and medical trainee education.

What minimum qualifications you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation
  obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
