MercyOne Genesis is seeking an experienced Hospice & Palliative Care Medical Director to provide clinical leadership for our established hospice program, including the 13-bed hospice house and home/community services.

The role involves oversight of quality and delivery of hospice/palliative care, program growth, and interdisciplinary collaboration, with partial remote flexibility and teaching opportunities.

Formación

• MD or DO with Iowa medical license; Hospice & Palliative Medicine certification preferred.
• Fellowship training and hospice/palliative care experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interdisciplinary team skills.
• Commitment to patient-centered care across physical, psychosocial, spiritual, and cultural domains.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsabilidades

• Provide clinical leadership for the hospice and palliative care program.
• Oversee quality and delivery of hospice services and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Support program growth and quality initiatives with leadership team.
• Collaborate with physicians and APPs and teach where appropriate.
