Job summary

Qualifications

• Registered nurse with NC license; BSN preferred.
• Minimum five years clinical nursing experience in hospice and regulatory standards.
• Minimum three years of supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of hospice operational procedures and clinical processes.
• Understanding of Federal CoPs, state/local regulations, and financial management of hospice services.
• Ability to analyze financial and statistical data.
• Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
• Current knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid hospice documentation guidelines.
• Proficiency with PC applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Continuing education of at least 12 hours annually.

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient utilization of staffing resources.
• Evaluate and monitor quality and regulatory compliance.
• Supervise Hospice Clinical Manager and Operations staff.
• Participate in orientation, competency evaluation and staff training.
• Monitor clinical processes, charting, and financial data for efficient service delivery.
• Facilitate hospice services by coordinating with staff, physicians, and patients.
• Provide direct patient care including case management and care planning.
• Perform HR functions per agency policy; ensure infection control standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
