Job summary

Liberty Hospice, part of Liberty Healthcare Management in Jacksonville, NC, seeks an experienced Hospice Administrator to lead clinical and administrative operations. The role focuses on staffing efficiency, regulatory compliance, and high-quality patient care across the hospice program.

Applicants should have an NC RN license (BSN preferred), 5+ years of clinical hospice nursing, 3+ years supervisory experience, and strong financial analytics.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse with a current NC license (BSN preferred).
• Minimum five years clinical nursing experience, hospice experience and regulatory standards.
• Minimum three years supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of hospice operational procedures and regulatory standards.
• Ability to analyze financial and statistical data.
• Excellent interpersonal skills including professional communication.
• Must be CPR certified.
• Minimum of 12 hours of continuing education annually.

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient, effective utilization of staffing resources.
• Evaluate and monitor quality of services and regulatory compliance.
• Supervise Hospice Clinical Manager and Hospice Operations Support Technician; assist with performance management.
• Participate in orientation, competency evaluation and staff training.
• Monitor clinical processes, charting, and financial data for efficiency and resource use.
• Facilitate delivery of hospice services as a resource to staff, physicians, referral sources, patients and other customers.
• Provide direct patient care including case management, care planning and service coordination.
• Perform HR functions to ensure regulatory compliance and infection control.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
