Job summary

Liberty Hospice in Sanford, NC seeks an experienced Hospice Administrator to lead operations and ensure compliant, high-quality care. The role emphasizes compassionate leadership and effective resource management.

The position requires an NC-licensed RN with at least five years of clinical hospice experience and three years of supervisory experience. Strong knowledge of CoPs, Medicare/Medicaid guidelines, and financial analysis is essential; CPR certification and annual CEU are required.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse licensed in North Carolina (NC); BSN preferred.
• Minimum of five years clinical nursing experience including hospice services and regulatory standards.
• Minimum of three years of supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of hospice operational procedures and clinical processes.
• Understanding of Federal CoPs, state/local regulations, and hospice financial management.
• Ability to analyze financial and statistical data.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must be CPR certified and maintain continuing education (12 hours annually).

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient, effective utilization of existing staffing resources.
• Evaluate and monitor quality of services and regulatory compliance.
• Supervise Hospice Clinical Manager and Hospice Operations Support Technician; assist with clinical staff performance management.
• Participate in orientation, competency evaluation, and training activities.
• Monitor clinical processes, charting, and financial data for efficient resource use.
• Act as a resource for staff, physicians, referral sources, patients, and other customers.
• Provide direct patient care as needed (case management, care planning, coordination).
• Perform HR functions per agency policy to ensure regulatory compliance and infection control.
