Job summary

Compassus is seeking an on-call Hospice Registered Nurse to provide after-hours and weekend patient care, ensuring comfort and quality of life. You will support families, educate caregivers, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a compassionate home-care setting.

The role requires an active RN license, hospice experience preferred, and ability to adapt to flexible scheduling while delivering high-quality care to patients and their families.

Qualifications

RN license in the state you work.
Two years of experience as a registered nurse, hospice experience preferred.
Current CPR certification.
Current BCLS certification.
Flex your schedule to meet agency staffing needs; weekends or seven days on/off are common patterns.

Responsibilities

Provide hospice patient care after-hours and on weekends as needed.
Help patients spend quality time with loved ones and activities they enjoy.
Build trusting, compassionate relationships with patients and families; educate caregivers.
Assist in ensuring patient comfort and coping during after-hours emergencies.
