Job summary

Hugh Chatham Health, Inc. is seeking a CNA for a full-time PM shift (11am–11pm) at the Med/Surg department. Schedule includes weekends and holidays with a total of 36 hours per week and the potential for benefits eligibility.

Responsibilities include patient admission/discharge tasks under supervision, room setup, patient and family orientation, vital signs, and extensive direct patient care. CPR and CNA certification are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of CAN program preferred.
• Knowledge of basic computer keyboard functions is preferred.
• Courteous and professional interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrate responsible and ethical behaviors consistent with the Advocate values (Equality, Compassion, Excellence, Partnership, Stewardship).
• Certified Nursing Assistant
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Participates in Admission/Discharge Transfer process under supervision of GIP Hospice Nurse or Clinical Supervisor.
• Sets up patient’s room and orients patient and family to room, including layout, call lights, bed functions, TV, and telephone.
• Obtains vital signs including height and weight.
• During admission/transfer/discharge ensures patient belongings are documented.
• Provides personal care and aids in mobility, hygiene, and activities as directed.
