Job summary

Cedar Valley Hospice in Waterloo, Iowa is seeking a dedicated Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) to join our not-for-profit team. You will deliver compassionate end-of-life care in patients' homes and facilities, working with an interdisciplinary team to honor comfort and dignity.

This role requires current Iowa RN license, strong communication, and the ability to educate families. You should be reliable, with a valid Iowa driver's license and access to transportation to serve our 15-county area.

Qualifications

  • Iowa RN license required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • BSN preferred.
  • Valid Iowa driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Basic computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing care to hospice patients in homes and healthcare facilities.
  • Deliver end-of-life care focused on comfort, dignity, and quality of life.
  • Assess patients' physical, emotional, psychosocial and spiritual needs.
  • Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to develop care plans.
  • Monitor changes in condition and update the plan of care.
  • Educate and support patients, caregivers and families.
  • Coordinate care and advocate for patients and families throughout the hospice journey.
