Job summary

AdventHealth in Florida is seeking a seasoned Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to provide hospice-focused nursing care in an inpatient unit. The role involves evaluating patients, ordering treatment plans, and educating families under physician supervision.

You will participate in interdisciplinary team conferences and work closely with hospice management to ensure patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Master's of Nursing required.
• 3+ years of experience in medical nursing, hospice and/or critical care.
• 2+ years of experience as an APRN required.
• APRN license and BLS CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates health status of patients, orders treatment plans and educates patients and families under physician supervision.
• Performs clinical evaluations and reviews diagnostic studies under physician supervision.
• Participates in interdisciplinary team conferences and collaborates with hospice management to meet patient needs.
• Completes documentation timely and accurately in patient records during daily visits.
• Attends meetings and prepares billing documentation for the hospice finance department.
