Job summary

Amedisys is seeking a PRN Music Therapist to deliver specialized music therapy services within our hospice program. You will assess patient needs, develop care plans, and provide therapy aligned with individual goals across the care team.

The role requires certification as a music therapist and a valid driver’s license. You will document outcomes, participate in quality improvement activities, and perform related tasks as needed to support patient comfort and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Certified music therapist from an established music therapy institute.
• Licensed driver with reliable automobile insured as per state law.

Responsibilities

• Develops, coordinates and provides an organized music therapy program.
• Provides music therapy in alignment with the needs of the patient and physical limitations.
• Develops a plan of care.
• Completes all documentation as required by the organization in compliance with legal, governmental and accreditation requirements.
• Participates in quality assessment and performance improvement activities.
• Performs other job-related tasks as requested.
