Job summary

Amedisys Home Health is seeking a PRN Music Therapist to join our hospice care team. You will assess patients, plan and provide individualized music therapy services in alignment with clinical goals and patient needs.

Responsibilities include developing an organized therapy program, documenting care, and participating in quality improvement activities, while complying with state laws and accreditation standards. A valid music therapy certification and a licensed driver are required.

Qualifications

• Must be a certified music therapist from an established music therapy program.
• Must have a licensed driver with insured vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Develops, coordinates and provides an organized music therapy program.
• Provides music therapy in alignment with the needs of the patient and physical limitations.
• Develops a plan of care.
• Completes all documentation as required by the organization in compliance with legal, governmental and accreditation requirements.
• Participates in quality assessment and performance improvement activities.
• Performs other job-related tasks as requested.
