Job summary

Moments Hospice is seeking a Music Therapist to alleviate patients' symptoms through personalized music therapy interventions and to create a more peaceful environment during end-of-life care.

Qualifications

• Board Certified Music Therapist (CBMT) required.
• Experience as a Music Practitioner or graduate of a program focused on music as an intervention for health and wellness.
• Musical intelligence and mastery of at least one instrument.
• Understanding of hospice philosophy and comfort providing specialized care to the terminally ill.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to follow all safety rules and regulations (HIPAA, etc.).
• Valid Driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and assist patients in music therapy interventions.
• Reduce symptoms like anxiety, depression, isolation, agitation through music.
• Educate the clinical team on music therapy appropriateness and contraindications.
• Maintain accurate records within 24 hours of sessions and update as needed.
