Job summary

Moments Hospice in Florida seeks a Music Therapist to alleviate symptoms through personalized interventions and provide comfort to patients in their final days. You will work with our clinical team and deliver compassionate, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Music Practitioner or graduate from a program focused on music as an intervention for health and wellness.
• Board certification as a Music Therapist (CBMT).
• Musical intelligence and proficiency with at least one instrument.
• Understanding of hospice philosophy and comfort providing specialized care to the terminally ill.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to follow all safety rules and regulations (HIPAA, etc.).
• Valid Driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Lead music therapy interventions with patients.
• Reduce symptoms such as anxiety, depression, isolation and agitation through music.
• Educate the clinical team on music therapy appropriateness and contraindications.
• Maintain accurate records within 24 hours of sessions and update as needed.
