Job summary

Trustbridge Hospice, a part of Empath Health, seeks a full-time Associate Medical Director to provide medical oversight for hospice patients across Broward County, including in-patient and field settings. The role also serves as a physician consultant for Palliative Care within Empath Health.

Qualified candidates will have an MD/DO, Florida license, and 2+ years of direct clinical care; Hospice/Palliative Medicine certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Board Certified in a related specialty or Hospice & Palliative Medicine preferred.
• Current Florida medical license to practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide symptom control expertise and manage pain/symptom treatments, primarily through in-person visits.
• Collaborate with the RN to implement the plan of care.
• Collaborate with attending physicians to update the patient’s plan of care and ensure direct medical services.
• Serve as a medical resource and educator to staff, patients, families, and physicians regarding admission criteria and end-of-life care.
