Job summary

Trustbridge Hospice, part of Empath Health, seeks a full-time Associate Medical Director to provide medical oversight for hospice patients across Broward County. The role includes directing medical care for in-patient and field settings and serving as a physician consultant for Palliative Care patients within Empath Health.

Qualifications

• MD/DO with Florida license and Board Certification in Hospice & Palliative Medicine.
• Minimum of two years' direct clinical care experience.
• Hospice and Palliative Medicine certification strongly preferred.
• Hospital staff privileges at one or more hospitals serving the area preferred.
• Current Federal DEA registration and CPR certification required if patient-facing.

Responsibilities

• Provides medical oversight for hospice patients across Broward County, including in-patient and field care.
• Collaborates with RNs to implement plans of care and with attending physicians to update care plans.
• Serves as a medical resource and educator on admission criteria, pain control, end-of-life care, and regulatory compliance.
• Participates in IDG meetings and coordinates with Clinical Director and other disciplines to meet medical needs.
• Adheres to Florida health regulations and ADA accommodations during recruitment and employment processes.
