Affinity Hospice Management LLC in Des Moines, Iowa seeks a GIP Medical Director Hospitalist to provide medical direction for our hospice program. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, ensure compliance with Medicare guidelines, and oversee clinical protocols and education for physicians, staff, and volunteers.

The role emphasizes leadership in quality improvement, community education, and coordination with attending and community physicians to uphold high standards of hospice

Competenze

• Must be licensed as a Medical Doctor (MD) without restriction.
• Board Certification in Hospice and Palliative Care preferred.
• Experience in hospice or palliative care is required or preferred.

Mansioni

• Provide overall medical direction to the hospice program and ensure compliance with Medicare Conditions of Participation and relevant regulations.
• Lead Interdisciplinary Group discussions and policies for patient care, emergency procedures, and infection control.
• Develop and review education programs for physicians, personnel, and volunteers; monitor QAPI and engage in improvement projects.
• Review treatment protocols and propose current, cost-aware interventions; assess impact on care quality.
• Serve as hospice advocate in the community and educate clinicians and referral sources about hospice and palliative care.
