Job summary

St. Croix Hospice is seeking a dedicated Massage Therapist to provide therapeutic touch and relieve patient discomfort while ensuring dignity and comfort. You will follow a prescribed plan of care under supervision, perform key massage modalities, document promptly, and maintain HIPAA compliance.

This role emphasizes compassionate patient connections, autonomy in practice, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team to enhance quality of life during difficult times.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Massage Therapy program.
• Current Massage Therapist License or Bodywork Therapist License in practicing states.
• Ability to pass background and drug tests.

Responsibilities

• Provide massage therapy per plan of care following Clinical Supervisor/Manager direction.
• Assess patients for appropriate medical indication and treatment effectiveness.
• Administer Swedish Massage, Comfort Touch, Energy work, and compressions to alleviate symptoms.
• Document sessions in patient records within 24–48 hours of sessions.
• Observe and report patient responses to supervisor and educate clinical team on treatment appropriateness.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality; protect health information.
• Participate in interdisciplinary education programs and quality improvement activities.
