Job summary

Absolute Hospice, Inc. is seeking a licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for PRN Hospice coverage in Canton, Ohio. This role focuses on compassionate, hands-on nursing visits, clinical management, and patient education in patients' homes and residences.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of nursing experience, strong assessment and communication skills, and a flexible, patient-centered approach to care. Weekend availability is a plus and a valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
• Compassionate, patient, and flexible approach to care
• Ability to lift/transfer patients as needed
• Proficient with computer documentation
• Valid driver’s license and one-year clean driving record
• Weekend availability is a plus

Responsibilities

• Provide routine nursing visits and direct patient care
• Establish professional relationships with patients, families, and interdisciplinary care teams
• Continually assess and evaluate patients' needs and conditions
• Educate patients and caregivers about their conditions and care plans
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation and charting
