Partners in Home Care is seeking a Food Service Coordinator for the Hope Hospice Center in Missoula, MT. This on-site role oversees menu planning, food preparation, inventory management, and adherence to health and safety regulations to support the comfort and well-being of patients, families, and staff.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED with culinary or hospitality training preferred, plus at least 2 years in healthcare food service management and experience supervising

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; culinary or hospitality training preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in food service management, preferably in healthcare, hospice, or long-term care settings.
• Experience supervising volunteer staff and managing budgets.
• Computer proficiency and working knowledge of Microsoft programs required.

Responsabilités

• Plan, prepare, and oversee the preparation of nutritious, appealing meals that meet patient dietary needs and preferences.
• Supervise volunteers, providing leadership, training, and performance feedback.
• Maintain compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations.
• Manage food inventory, ordering, and budget to ensure cost-effective operations.
• Coordinate with nursing and care teams to accommodate special dietary needs and meal schedules.
• Develop and update menus with consideration of seasonal availability and patient-centered care.
• Ensure a warm, home-like dining atmosphere consistent with hospice center values and philosophy.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization in accordance with established standards.
• Participate in interdisciplinary meetings as needed to support overall patient care.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
