Job summary

Samaritan Healthcare & Hospice is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Inpatient Unit in Voorhees, NJ. This full-time, on-site role covers the night shift from 7 pm to 7 am, focusing on high-quality hospice care for assigned patients and families.

Responsibilities include patient education, nursing care, interdisciplinary care planning, medication management, emergency response, and supervision of CHHA and volunteers. NJ RN license is required, BSN preferred; bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience.
• NJ RN license required; BSN preferred
• IV and Medical Surgical Experience required
• Hospice experience preferred
• Bilingual is a plus!

Responsibilities

• Assess patient and family educational needs and provides appropriate education
• Applies nursing principles and techniques in the treatment of patients, providing nursing care, emotional support and education to patient and family
• Initiate interdisciplinary plan of care to address PFC needs
• Provides safe and appropriate patient care in accordance with protocols, policies, procedures and physician orders
• Manages medications according to standards
• Responds appropriately in emergency situations
• Implements, evaluates and revises the plan of care and directs others in its implementation
• Provides or facilitates the provision of emotional and spiritual support to patients and their families
• Participates in the orientation of new employees
• Provides supervision of all CHHA and Volunteers
