Job summary

Villa Marie Claire Residential Hospice in Saddle River, NJ is seeking a registered nurse for a full-time night shift to deliver compassionate, evidence-based inpatient care. You will assess and respond to patient needs using established guidelines, coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team, and educate patients and families about care plans.

This role emphasizes leadership, mentorship of staff, and participation in quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• BSN preferred; newly licensed graduates welcome.
• Minimum one-year clinical nursing experience preferred.
• Current NJ RN license and BCLS certification required.
• Excellent assessment, communication and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care in accordance with ANA Scope and Standards of Care and Patient Bill of Rights.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate the patient plan of care.
• Assess and teach patients using appropriate resources and evaluate effectiveness.
• Lead and mentor staff; may assume charge nurse responsibilities.
• Delegate and supervise ancillary staff and adhere to NJ scope of practice.
• Participate in unit and organization-wide activities and committees.
• Pursue ongoing education and apply evidence-based practice.
