Job summary

Addus HomeCare is seeking a Night Shift CNA for the Inpatient Unit at Barrington IL. The Hospice CNA IPU works under a registered nurse to provide personal care, observe and report changes, and ensure patient comfort on 12-hour night shifts.

3 shifts per week, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with every other weekend and three holidays. Competitive pay up to $26/hour, plus night diff of $1.25 on weekdays and $2.50 on weekends, and a benefits package starting first of the month.

Qualifications

• Certified by the state as a nurse aide.
• Maintains a current CPR Certification.
• List on the state aide registry with a clear record able to deliver care to patients.
• 18 years of age unless state law dictates otherwise.
• Valid driver's license with insured vehicle or reliable transportation preferred.

Responsibilities

• The Hospice CNA IPU works under the supervision of a registered nurse and performs services to meet patient comfort needs.
• The CNA observes and reports changes, documents care performed and patient condition.
• Performs personal care needs and attends to patient requests promptly.
• Ensures safety with equipment and meets patient safety needs.
• Gives baths, oral hygiene, shampoos and changes bed linens as assigned.
• Reports on patient condition and significant changes to the RN.
• Adheres to documentation, care procedures and professional conduct standards.
