Zusammenfassung

Hospice Home Care is seeking an Intake Coordinator to manage insurance claims, verify eligibility, and confirm preauthorization and referral requirements before delivering hospice services. You will communicate with insurance companies, patients, and providers, review claims for reimbursement, and maintain patient information in HIPAA-compliant systems while collaborating with a team.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum of one year experience in medical billing or medical insurance verification
• Strong knowledge of health insurance plans including Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial carriers
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to handle confidential information
• Self-starter who can work independently or in a team

• Prompt and accurate communication with insurance companies, patients, providers, and other staff
• Review claims to ensure reimbursement requirements are met
• Verification of patient information
• Documentation of patient responsibility
• Accurate keying of data
• Update accounts as necessary
• Research and follow-up on denials
• Scan, upload, and email documents as needed to complete processes
• Maintain patient information in accordance with HIPPA and company standards
• Make recommendations for resolution
• Cross-train in and perform other functions within the department as needed
