Job summary

Chapters Health System in Florida is seeking a Hospice House Manager to provide direct oversight of all patient care delivered by hospice house staff around the clock, including case management, fiscal accountability, risk, compliance and personnel management.

You will oversee operations, monitor medication inventory, coordinate care between departments and external partners, and ensure timely documentation and adherence to regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a health related field or equivalent experience.
• Current RN license in the state of employment or multi-state license.
• Minimum of three years nursing experience.
• Minimum of one year of supervisory/management experience.
• Active BLS for healthcare professionals from AHA or Red Cross.
• Oncology, hospice or home health experience preferred.
• Intermittent driver with valid license and insurance.
• Ability to manage fiscal accountability, communications, planning, and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Provides 24/7 oversight to Hospice House operations.
• Monitors medication inventories and Pyxis reports for drug diversion.
• Implements systems to evaluate actual care against the care plan.
• Schedules staff and ensures coverage as acuity dictates.
• Facilitates coordination of patient care between all parties.
• Provides feedback on care plan documentation to staff.
• Administers direct nursing care when appropriate to maintain competence.
• Ensures timely documentation supports level of care.
• Collaborates with Pharmacy, Infusion, DME and other Hospice Houses.
• Addresses customer concerns and complaints promptly.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
