Job summary

Hospice Austin is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care and symptom management in a hospice setting across the service area. You will assess patients, administer comfort-focused interventions, and educate families on end-of-life care and medication use.

Responsibilities include documentation in EMR, collaboration with the care team, and timely escalation of safety concerns. A Texas RN license and CPR certification are required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved school of professional nursing per the Texas Board.
• Unrestricted Registered Nurse license in Texas.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs focused clinical assessments during patient visits, including vitals and symptom reviews.
• Implements nursing procedures, SMOs, and PRN protocols for comfort and safety.
• Documents in EMR promptly and accurately per policy.
• Provides end‑of‑life support to patients and families and coordinates with funeral services as needed.
• Educates families and staff on symptom management and care planning.
