Job summary

Virtua Health is seeking a part-time Hospice Registered Nurse to deliver compassionate end-of-life care in patients' homes across South New Jersey. The role includes assessing, planning, and implementing a treatment plan, with the care team coordinating closely with families.

You will travel statewide as needed, with a focus on comfort and quality of life. The position requires 2–3 years hospice nursing experience, NJ RN licensure (BSN preferred), and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years hospice nursing experience.
• Current State of New Jersey nursing license to practice as RN.
• BSN preferred but not required if experience is strong.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document nursing process in patient homes.
• Provide wound care, treatments, and comfort care.
• Administer medications per plan of care.
• Educate patients and families and coordinate care with team.
• Communicate changes in patient condition to physicians.
• Demonstrate pain management and symptom relief during visits.
• On-call responsibilities and off-hours coverage as assigned.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and accurate documentation.
